This is an example of how not to endear yourself to tennis fans, cut Rafa’s trophy presentation as quick as you can and switch to “Monday Night Football.” We guess ESPN couldn’t wait for that huge week 2 match-up between the Ravens and Jets? Good thing the match only lasted four sets. Broadcasting fail.

The RM 027 Tourbillon made by Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille was made specially for Nadal and features a carbon-composite case and lithium alloys. It weighs just 20 grams so Nadal can wear it during matches. This is the first time Nadal has worn a timepiece in competition and it didn’t seem to bother him as he dispatched Gianni Mina on Tuesday 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

Shakira and 6-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal have teamed up to shoot a video for her new song entitled ‘Gypsy’. The two filmed the video in Barcelona last month for the song, due out in April. We’re wondering if this was part of his rehab? I guess the knees are fine?
